Gaming

People playing a tabletop game

Enjoy board games, RPGs, or video games? Then you’re in the right place! All gaming will take place in the Watertable rooms beyond the hotel’s Watertable restaurant on the fifth floor.

Balticon 58 will have four tables of drop-in and round-the-clock tabletop role-playing games (RPG) where attendees can join one of our scheduled sessions. Games will take place between 2 PM Friday and 3 PM Monday. Overnight games can be accommodated.

Confirmed Games:

  • Ten Candles
  • Alien RPG (Sponsored by Free League Press)
  • Star Wars: Edge of Empire
  • Dune: Adventure in the Imperium
  • Mothership
  • Scum and Villainy
  • Necrobiotic

GMs Needed!

We are recruiting GMs with diverse interests and broad experiences running various game systems. You can expect that the offerings this year will run the gamut of genres, settings, and historical epochs! GMs may prepare a single drop-in session, or plan a game over multiple days and times.

RPG GM Sign Up

We need volunteers to manage the RPG room. Responsibilities include keeping track of game sign-up sheets, letting GMs know when their session is almost over, helping to make sure tables are ready for the next game, and having fun. If interested, sign up as a Balticon volunteer and let them know you are volunteering for the RPG Room. See the Volunteer page for details.

We are now accepting player sign ups for free tables and game sessions.

Have any RPG ideas you’d like to see at the convention? Please contact RPGgaming@balticon.org by February 29, 2023.

Thanks and “may all your hits be crits”!

The Balticon 58 RPG Team

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!

We will have a wide selection of board games to play and over two dozen scheduled games to join. You can also bring your own games and sit down at a table. Our staff will be familiar with most of the available games. In addition to our scheduled game demos, we can usually teach or demo almost any of our games if you’d like.
